Simply Red Latin America & Europe Tours 2025

From January-March 2025, Shooting Star’s Chris Taplin was production manager for the Latin American leg of the Holding Back the Years 40 Years of Simply Red tour. The Latin American tour saw the band perform to over 140,000 fans in Mexico, Chile and Brazil, with five consecutive sold-out shows in Santiago.

In Autumn the tour progressed to Europe, playing some 50 arena shows including two nights at London’s O2 Arena and one night at Wembley Arena, also taking in Ireland, UK, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and France.

Chris’s duties include overseeing 12 trucks’ worth of equipment for each gig, and here he shows us a day in the office. Film by Ben Finlay
